Platform First Steps
The Platform in your hands: find your way around, build and run a first Flow, choose its model, keep versions of it, manage it on the Flows page, and make a first Knowledge Base and Agent.

Before you start
This course builds on 2 courses. Take them first: the certificate is issued once every one is complete.
Ends in a certification once every page and the course check are done, and the prerequisites are complete.
Platform Foundations told you what the parts of Noxus are. In this course you use them. You open the Platform, build a small Flow that reads a supplier certificate, run it, read what it did, choose its model, save a version and manage it on the Flows page. Then you make a Knowledge Base from a policy document and an Agent that answers questions from it. By the end you know your way around, and the courses that build real processes can get on with building.
The Platform in one minute
Before the first lesson, one minute of the Platform from end to end: the Build section, a Flow running, a Knowledge Base answering a question, an Agent in a chat. There is nothing to do yet. Watch it so the names in the lessons have a picture attached.
Who this course is for
Anyone who will open the Platform: engineers first, and also sellers who demonstrate it and strategists who scope work on it. It assumes Platform Foundations and access to a Noxus workspace where you can create Flows, Knowledge Bases and Agents. Ask whoever runs your organisation's workspace for an invitation if you have none.
What you will be able to do
- Find the Build section and Manage workspace, and say what each Build section page holds.
- Create a Flow, add and connect nodes, configure them and use one node's output in another.
- Run a Flow, read what each node received and produced, and read the Flow's outputs.
- Open a node's model settings, tell a preset from a model, and try a different model.
- Save a version and restore one.
- Export a Flow, import one, tag it, delete it and bring it back.
- Create a Knowledge Base, load a document into it and ask it a question.
- Create an Agent, give it instructions and the Knowledge Base, and talk to it.
What you build
A Flow called Certificate Reader with three nodes: a file input, a model step that reads the certificate, an output. A Knowledge Base holding one policy document. An Agent that answers from it. All three are small on purpose. The Process Engineer course picks up the Flow from here and turns it into the whole certificate check.
